Prescriptions
We are a Dispensing Practice and and are able to provide this service for people who live more than one mile from a pharmacy.
This does not, however, prevent you from using a chemist, but provides the added facility of using the surgery dispensary. If you wish, prescriptions can be sent direct to Boots or Lloyds chemist.
Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by telephone between the hours of 10:00 am and 12 noon and 1.00 pm and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, at the desk during surgery hours, faxed to the surgery, posted, or via EMIS Access an internet service-please contact the surgery for details of how to register for this service.
The order papers can also be left in the prescriptions box in the waiting room or handed over the counter.
Prescriptions or medication can be picked up at the Surgery during opening hours or arrangements can be made for prescriptions to go direct to local chemists on a regular basis.
Please be aware that 48 hours notice is required for us to process prescriptions. This time does not include bank holidays or weekends.
