Sunburn

Treatment in the home 
Avoid through;
  • Going in the sun between 11 am and 3 prime minister when the sun is at its strongest
  • Putting on sun cream of at least SPF 15
  • Covering up any areas prone to burning e.g. your shoulders, neck, back and face
If you do get burnt;
  • Rest
  • Keep out of the sun
  • Wear light, loose clothing
  • Soothe using calamine lotion, by bathing in cool water or by applying after sun cream or gel
  • Painkillers may be given in appropriate doses to relieve the pain

If the sunburn is severe or blisters
